why do hate history class?

Carmina Stickney: I love history too. Ancient Egypt was always my favorite when I was in school. I'm the family historian. I went back and got all the newspaper articles from 1920. My grandfather was a police officer on the Leominstir MA. PD. A rainstorm came up and he went home to get his rain gear and found my grandmother and a man in the kitchen. The man shot and killed him and ran off. They finally caught him and there was a big trial. Newspapers from Boston and all over the state and even the surrounding states covered it. It was a big deal. So the murder gets life and after 13 yrs. the Gov. was leaving office and he lets this guy out. And no he and my grandmother never got back together. So in the end my grandfather is pushin' up dazys and this gets married, has a family and goes about his long life.So, try talking to your older relatives ! and see what you can find out. Make a family tree. Never know what you may turn up. There is always something shady in all families. You may just end up liking history.Good luck....Show more

Berry Gilmore: I agree with you! I hate history. It's one of the stupidest and most pointless classes there is. I would much rather solve a math problem or mix chemical compounds together. Who cares who the 15th or 19th president was. Obviously he's dead and some other idiot will eventually take the last guys place to attempt to run the country.

Jannie Ariola: In relation to what nevermore said:Perhaps it's because you don't get to study an area of history you are interested.It's a bit like that for me at the moment - I love history but not enjoying very much at school at the moment. Find something interesting to read/watch.For me, I read military histories and documentaries, mostly about Australians in war.Also, I ha! d at least 2 relatives who fought in WW1 and one got a VC. In ! a book about WW1 I actually came across his name.It could also be because your teacher sucks - I KNOW THE FEELING hahaha.OR you just don't like history and I guess that's ok.
