what is the global warming controversy?

Evelin Turlich: The controversy is there is a large group of people consisting of scientists, environmentalists, and others who have shown solid evidence that human action, specifically carbon emissions, have caused an imbalance in the natural climate cycles of the earth. On the other hand, there is another group who says these claims are false. Not surprisingly this group consists of many ignorant people as well as oil, coal, and gas company representatives and executives. There should be no question that global warming is anthropocentric. The temperature increases of the past hundred and some-odd years have varied directly with increases in human-caused carbon emissions in the atmosphere. We have taken ice-core samples to get readings of carbon content in the atmosphere thousands of years ago, and not surprisingly these have shown that CO2 content in the atmosphere was drastically lower....Show more

Daria Verfaillie: The global warming controversy concerns the ! discussions over the existence of global warming, its causes and effects, and what to do about it.

Vita Moodie: I heard about this ruse in the early 60s. It is designed, among other things, to negate the US Constitution. They came up with something to allegedly affect the whole world so that you would have to be real mean to not want to save the world. First step of a con game is to make your pigeon feel stupid or guilty. This was even admitted by the Club of Rome: Quote by Club of Rome: "In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill....All these dangers are caused by human intervention....and thus the “real enemy, then, is humanity itself....believe humanity requires a common motivation, namely a common adversary in order to realize world government. It does not matter if this common enemy is “a real one or….one invented for the purpose."The! re are others who are brazen enough to admit it: Quote by Chri! stine Stewart, former Canadian Environment Minister: “No matter if the science is all phoney, there are collateral environmental benefits.... climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.”Quote by Timoth Wirth, U.S./UN functionary, former elected Democrat Senator: “We’ve got to ride the global-warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.”Quote by Richard Benedik, former U.S./UN bureaucrat: "A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect."The end game is to scare us into having a one world government ruled by tyrannical leaders.Quote from the UN's Own "Agenda 21": "Effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced a major shift in the priorities of both govern! ments and individuals and an unprecedented redeployment of human and financial resources. This shift will demand that a concern for the environmental consequences of every human action be integrated into individual and collective decision-making at every level."That is what the UN has in store for our children. But first you have to tear down every political structure and build a new one ground up. These people do not have the best interests for mankind.Quote by Maurice Strong, a billionaire elitist, primary power behind UN throne, and large CO2 producer: “Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about?” These 'collapses' are what Obama calls 'bumps in the road'. Where does that road lead to? Quote by Gus Hall, former leader of the Communist Party USA: "Human society cannot basically stop the destruction of the environment under capitalism. Socialism is the only structure that makes it p! ossible."Global warming is a ruse to manipulate people into being scare! d. Once they are scared they are easy to manipulate even further."Fear is the most debilitating of all human emotions. A fearful person will do anything, say anything, accept anything, reject anything, if it makes him feel more secure for his own, his family's or his country's security and safety, whether it actually accomplishes it or not....""It works like a charm. A fearful people are the easiest to govern. Their freedom and liberty can be taken away, and they can be convinced to believe that it was done for their own good - to give them security. They can be convinced to give up their liberty - voluntarily." â€"Gene E. Franchini, retired Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme CourtHundreds of billions of dollars has been take out of the world's economy in the cause of Global Warming. Has any body solved the problem? Has anybody proven that there is such a thing as Global Warming or Climate Change? With all that money you would think that the powers that be would have a! t least proven Global Warming as beyond theory. But no, these calamity howlers still ask for more money and give us more scare tactics.Quote by Noel Brown, UN official: "Entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of "eco-refugees," threatening political chaos."We could go on but space is limited. Global Warming is a scam!...Show more

Boris Hadsall: It is a made up controversy, invented by the media and politicians, fueled by oil industry money. Serious scientists accept the evidence that global warming is happeninghttp://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2010/images/wa...And we are causing ithttp://planetsave.com/2010/08/18/humans-cause-glob...

Jules Ashbach: it's a religion that preys on idiots and the s! eriously gullible.

Marcia Cheathan: Its all about sustainability That teaches or brainwashes people that White people areracist all of them even liberals. Some people think the USA owes the rest of the world a living .

Rosalba Lingner: No controversy except among the denialist liars

Violette Vanek: The falsehood of anthropocentric global warming has been designed for one objective, the rebirth of Babylon - a single government whose grip encompasses our entire planet, one language, one nation, one government tyrannical and oppressive. History fades away into peoples minds, we forget and ignore the terrors of the last century. It has only been twenty years since the fall of the USSR, a country hell bent on world domination. It has only been seventy years since the collapse of the Third Reich, another hell bent ideology which sought world domination. Ask yourself this... many countries and governments in history have attempted t! he goal of world government, why wouldn't they do it again?I'm from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, we're giving forty million pounds, that's about sixty million dollars everyday to an unelected commission in Belgium which dictates about 70% of our laws. In the last three years, the financial crisis has been used as an excuse to grab more power from the sovereign states of Europe to create one single country of Europe. Moreover, the idea of Climate Change is being used to destroy my nation, the European Union Commission has placed huge taxes on our industry, crushing it and forcing us to use expensive European "renewable" energy. The President of the EU Commission stated"We must pull our sovereignty together to fight climate change". Yet, when asked not a single fact in agreement with the theory of man made global warming is given....Show more

Lynn Mctier: seen it before. The tobacco companies did it for years denying any link between smoking ! and cancer.climate responds to a number of factors, including greenhous! es gases.. No mystery there if you know some science. The concentration of CO2 has increased since the 1800's, and isotopic analysis traced the CO2 to fossil fuels, coal and oil. In any case, where do you think the millions of tons of coal and oil burnt every years is going? Lucky for us, the ocean absorb a lot, so far....Show more

Lino Cawthorne: The global warming controversy concerns the debate over the existence of global warming, its causes and effects, and what to do about it.

Valentine Willinger: One side has made prediction after prediction, all of which have proven to be wrong. The other side has claimed the whole thing is a scam to grab power. There is no clear evidence either way. You have to decide for yourself.

Dulcie Edis: Its only denied by the adamantly ignorant.

Irving Jordahl: The controversy is there is a large group of people consisting of politicians, environmentalists, and others who have shown no evidence that human action, speci! fically carbon emissions, have caused any imbalance in the natural climate cycles of the earth. On the other hand, there is another group who have shown these claims are false. Not surprisingly this second group consists mostly of scientists. There should be no question that global warming is not anthropocentric. The temperature increases of the past hundred and some-odd years have had no correlation with increases in human-caused carbon emissions in the atmosphere. We have taken ice-core samples to get readings of carbon content in the atmosphere thousands of years ago, and not surprisingly these have shown that CO2 content in the atmosphere was drastically higher and lower....Show more

Pasquale Pollet: In a nutshell, some are afraid that acting to fix global warming (the scientific consensus and preponderance of evidence is global warming is occurring and caused by human activity) will cost too much to fix, so they deny it exist. If they recognize the problem exists! , then that means a solution is needed. The need for a solution scares ! them because it could reduce short-term profits. The best strategy is to confuse and deny the science and evidence to avoid any talk of solutions....Show more
