August Hubbard: GED doesn't get you the best job but neither does a real high school diploma. It all depends on what you want to do. Nice paying job and house? high school diploma and bachelors/masters degree.
Jene Licausi: The 12-14 years (depending on wher! e you live) that you spend in kindergarten, elementary school and high school are a complete waste if you're looking for real education. There's nothing wrong with being an average, middle-class person, but these years are wasted for people of higher intellect. Firstly, I believe children need to be taught basic math, reading and writing before they are five years old and in kindergarten. If you wait that long, it doesn't sink in as much. The system is far too stretched out and dumbed down. Why do you think it's possible to condense highschool mathematics courses into two to three weeks of summer school? In high school I didn't do a single thing - only the bare minimum to pass - up until grade 11. I didn't show up to classes and when I was there, I didn't take in any information. In grade 12, when the grades mattered, I set my mind to working. I went from a 56% average to a 92% average. I got into university with two scholarships. The previous years had done nothing for me. ! You can beat high school with pure attitude. I consider it jus! t a place for us to waste our time until we become mature enough to pursue a career....Show more
Faviola Dewire: with the way our world works you have to get that diploma. As for the education itself...depends on where in the country you are and the type of school you attend to know the value of the education you're getting. In the end it's what you make of it, you got to work and study hard to earn your success.
Kaley Lappas: GEt a diploma or you're never gunna get anywhere ( includes GED)
Kellie Waycott: way too easy, mine was a joke and did NOT get me ready for college
