Is jealously in small doses healthy in a relationship?

Tana Dumoulin: In very small doses jealousy is normal. We're human beings and from time to time may feel a bit of jealousy because we all want to feel like we're important and sometimes for some reason we may not. It's not something we control or we consciously decide to be jealous, but we do decide how we react to those thoughts that may not be rational. Basically we have to pick our battles. If you find it's ruining a relationship and the cause of daily arguments then it's a problem and could possibly drive someone away....Show more

Marti Declue: No type of jealousy is healthy for a relationship but since its only a small dose it shouldnt effect your relationship too much. Just make sure it doesnt get any bigger and be chill. :)

Darwin Ecton: i think it is, helps remind you that you really do care for this other person.

Norine Lomonte: Feelings of jealousy aren't healthy because they usually indicate that either: A. Someone feels threatened or disres! pected. or B. Someone has overly possessive/insecure tendencies.Even if BOTH of you are flirts...if your relationship is solid, and you're both confident in each other's loyalty and fidelity (and yes, they're two different things)... jealousy never comes into play....Show more

Marcel Then: I think it does. It shows the other person you still care so much for them and don't want anyone else to have you! If they didn't show a little bit of jealousy every now and then, I'd start thinking that I wasn't important enough anymore or something like that.I have big jealousy issues actually, and a crazy paranoia that my boyfriend is cheating... Like all the time, but on the same page I trust him completely not to... That's something I need to work out LOL...Show more
